I stopped by Buffalo Bros Burleson on a Tuesday night, and I have to say, the pizza was only part of the story. The service was fast and incredibly friendly. I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered an ice-cold beer, and watched the game on their screens. The food came out hot and fresh. For the quality, the prices are more than fair. Sometimes you just want a no-drama place with good food and a cold drink. That's exactly what I got. It's the kind of spot I can see myself hitting up weekly.

You can't miss Old Texas Brewing Company. The old-town railroad theme is everywhere, and it works. I bellied up to the large bar, which has plenty of room, even on a busy evening. The brisket stuffed jalapeños are a must-order. They were smoky, cheesy, and had a real kick. The drink list is solid too. Later, I sat on the patio under the cozy string lights. It's a great spot. The service was quick, and the vibe was super relaxed.

I want to tell you about my trip to Eagle's Point Bar & Grill. It's in a newer building, and the place is very welcoming. I have to admit, I didn't get the pizza. I went with the burger and brisket instead, and both were top notch. The portions are seriously generous. I started with the calamari appetizer, which was shockingly good. The staff kept checking in on me, and they were great. If you are ever near the course and are hungry for a great meal, this is a safe bet.

I checked out 1611 Golf Club to see how it was. It is more than just a golf place. The staff was handling a huge event when I walked in, and they still got my food to me fast. It was delicious. The food comes out consistent and hot. The private golf bays were spotless. I noticed some people getting festive holiday cocktails that looked amazing. For a low-key spot to hang out with friends or watch a game, it works. I was impressed.

For dessert, I had to stop at Murry Bakery. Walking in, it smells like heaven. They have fresh baked goods daily, and the pastry case was full of creative, delicious looking specials. I grabbed a couple of their signature cookies and a slice of pie. I get why they are famous for them. The cookies were huge and chewy, and the pie was perfect. It's an easy stop if you are ever in the mood for a sweet treat. I bet it is hard to go wrong here.

I hit up The Happy Armadillo for a break from the pizza. The place is huge, and the bar is clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I know Crumbl is a chain, but I had to include it for the sake of the list. The store itself is super clean, and the line moves fast. You cannot miss the Oreo Cookie. It is huge. It is sweet and perfect. They have a great variety of flavors, so there is always something new to try. The service was quick and polite, and they have your box ready to go. It is a no-frills stop for a sweet snack. If you have a sweet tooth, you will not be disappointed.

Before we even get to the food, I want to mention Desh Gaming Lounge. My PC died right before my trip, and this was the only place open. They diagnosed the issue in an hour and fixed it for a fair price. The staff is super down to earth and helpful. They did not upsell me. While I was waiting, I saw they have a bunch of stations set up for affordable family gaming. It looks like a fun place to hang out for the younger crowd. It is now a savior in my book.

Palio's Pizza Cafe is a great choice for a reliable pizza night. The owners and staff are some of the friendliest people I have met. I tried their Meal Deal, and it is definitely a good value. The crust was fantastic. If you have a gluten allergy, you should check out their homemade gluten-free option. It was the best I have had. The toppings were fresh and had a lot of flavor. I finished off with a slice of cheesecake and a cannoli. Both were excellent. I will be back.

Twisted Sisters Tap House in Burleson was a happy find on this trip. The pizza and salads were seriously impressive. I was not expecting that. They do not try to be fancy, they just do simple food right. The service was attentive and personable without being a bother. The space is warm and inviting, making it easy to relax. I can see why people say it is worth a repeat visit. It has a great local feel to it. I would gladly go back for another meal.

I finished my tour at Sammy's Italian Bistro. The atmosphere is relaxed, with some nice Italian music playing in the background. Service was excellent from start to finish. I tried the homemade pasta, and it tasted so fresh. You have to save room for the tiramisu. Both that and the pasta were top notch. The portions are large, and they bring out a big scoop of the dessert. It is smooth and rich, perfect after a heavier meal. It is an understated gem on the other side of the pond.
