I ate at Gus's Deli four times in one week. The Reuben baked potato is a mess of corned beef and sauerkraut you cannot stop eating.

McGregor doesn't need a big city to feed you well, and this list runs from Di Campli’s proper Italian dining room to King Noodle’s spot-on bulgogi. I even found a ranch dressing at Southern Roots Brewing Co.

worth writing home about. Every stop here felt personal, like they knew I was coming back.

Start with the potato, then work your way down.

I ate at Gus's Deli four times in one week. That should tell you everything. The Reuben baked potato is the standout, a messy, glorious pile of corned beef and sauerkraut over a soft potato. Their sandwiches and sweets are amazing too. The people working here are the sweetest, and the decor is adorable. It feels like a place that cares about you. I kept finding excuses to go back. You will too. It is that simple. I am not sure what else to say except I wish I lived closer.

That kind of flexibility matters. The chicken salads got a thumbs up from my kids, which is a rare win. Great cakes and cupcakes all around. This is a local business worth supporting. I left with a box of treats and a full heart. The prices are fair, and the service is friendly. If you need a dessert for any occasion, this is your spot.

The Olive Branch has a friendly and chill service style. The atmosphere is relaxing, good for a slow meal. I had the biscuit and egg, and it was quality. The brisket burrito, though, needs work. It did not hit the mark for me. Parking is also tough at peak hours, so plan ahead. Still, I would go back for the biscuit. The staff made me feel welcome. That counts for a lot. It is a decent spot if you are not in a rush. Just skip the burrito and get the biscuit. You will be happier that way.
